Centred on the concept of “Branching Out,” the design for Aftermeal at Sunway Pyramid translates the essence of organic growth and natural layering into a sophisticated architectural language. The spatial narrative is inspired by the expansion of a tree, utilizing rhythmic timber slats and angular geometries to create a dynamic, evolving structure that guides the eye through the interior.

The material palette balances the warmth of light oak with soft, glowing illumination, fostering a serene escape within the bustling mall environment. A dual-entry layout orchestrates a seamless flow between the vibrant ordering station and the tranquil seating areas, where curvilinear forms mimic the gentle movement of nature. By harmonizing these layered textures with strategic acoustic details and a “Golden Hour” radiance, the project transforms the dessert café into a restorative sanctuary. The resulting environment encourages guests to slow down and savour the moment, turning every visit into a unique sensory experience.
