THE BIG FOOD COURT DAI PAI DONG
Driven by the vibrant spirit of “Urban Street Sophistication,” the interior for the Dai Pai Dong food court reimagines traditional communal dining through a polished, contemporary lens. The spatial narrative is anchored by a high-volume, open-plan layout that orchestrates a sense of shared energy across its diverse culinary landscape.
A defining architectural feature is the interplay of rhythmic neon signage and a multi-toned bulkhead system. While bold orange bulkheads define primary service counters, cooling shades of green and blue are integrated to differentiate specialized zones, such as the Little Wok and Chicken Rice stations. The material palette balances industrial honesty—featuring exposed structural elements and grey-toned flooring—with the organic warmth of timber floor sections that define specific seating clusters. This texture is complemented by a playful variety of pastel-hued seating in mint and lemon tones. Expansive glass facades ensure a light-filled environment, seamlessly connecting the dynamic interior with the urban landscape beyond.
